I will gladly cut off the idiot 42%'er because he's going to die in the opening minutes anyway (that dumb 42%, 19k average Alabama rolling into Cap B in Islands of Ice at the start of the match), and work to support that decent DD player who could probably do something great with just enough support. Those idiots probably can't even tell what tier their ship is. There is zero time in a match to "guide" and "coach" some stranger in WoWS. You're dismissing part of your team at start and mentally playing short handed. What many who support this pox are saying is that even if someone whom you deem as a poor player is trying to do the right thing, you'll just say "let him rot" rather than play as a team. It just lets you write someone off as useless when all they might need is a little support or leadership to have a decent game. I was also very annoyed at people driving off of cliffs or into lakes if they had less than a 48% chance of winning. Couldn't get five seconds into the countdown timer before these disgusting little trolls starting flaming each other and it didn't stop until you got back to the garage. We already have an abundance of toxicity in the game and on the forums, XVM might be a useful tool for many things, but above anything else it's a poison that'll compound that mentality. Im not going to say I've never felt rage towards a team or team mates who are making logical errors in my estimation, but that's part of the problem as well. Honestly every time I see someone called a potato, tomato or any other word that denotes someone is beneath you I feel a great swell of annoyance and wish such ignorance could be a punishable offense. At the end of the day the only thing you have to show for sinking pixel ships is a wasted day, and that is true across the board. I hate the rampant "I'm better" mentality whether its true or not. If everyone on the enemy team knows to kill you first you're either going to die quickly or be useless behind cover. Skill only gets you so far against say a division that wants to see you dead. It is not hard to focus down a single player if you are looking for him.
Great players won't allow themselves to get xvm sniped in wows. Even a 40% arty player could just ruin the best player in tanks. Xvm sniping doesn't really work in this game.
